BKK 2/2

day 1

okayy. after only sleeping for 2hours, we took empty luggages and off we go to the airport.
our flight was 7.10am. that means we were there at 5am.
suck shit. lucky dad was nice to fetch us there.

while waiting....

obviously i didn't read these after boarding.
slept almost all the way.

budget terminal with damn budget boarding gate!
lok cok.

our flight TR 102.

obviously,
this trip's not funded by parents
and since it's a only 2hours trip...
let's make do with the tiny and squeezy seats.

bye bye singapore!

pretty clouds. fluffy.

after about nearly 2hours...

we can see bangkok!

so once we landed, we checked in to our hotel.
(oh yah,
bloody hell got ripped off by this taxi at the airport
but nevermind, once bitten twice shy)

we needed food badly before starting shopping spree.
had no idea where to go early in the morning
and decided to take a tuktuk to mbk.

damn unglam!

our first meal in bkk (:
yummy!

the ambience is nice, it has a live band.
not bad!

there was nothing much in mbk, most of the shops were not even opened
so we headed to platinum. didnt take much photos there. too busy shooping!
shopped till we dropped and went to take a sip at their food court.

see see see.
so many bags full of clothes.

i wonder if sg has this Oishi Green Tea,
nicer than pokka or heaven and earth lorr.

know?

ALL the shops doesnt have a fitting room
they just pass u a sarong like thing (the green thing in the pic)
and you can try on the clothes.
oh my. pretty paiseh. once and that's it.
was laughing and giggling throughout the process of trying.

in the evening,
we decided to try street food.

yes, that is omelette.
the other one is pad thai which means fried noodle.
we didn't even know what we were ordering, just point on the signboard.
damn cheap. only 35baht each. that means $1.50.

not first time in bkk, but first time trying street food
and sitting by the roadside eating.

day 2
started the day off with praying at Erawan Shrine.

then we walked to the siam center which is nearby for lunch.
totally sucked and not cheap
(compared to all our other meals we had in BKK).

i realise that almost all food courts or eating places in shopping malls
uses this "cashless" system like Marche in sg.
each card has a credit of 1000baht.

i tell you this Chupa Chups bubble gum is freaking nice.

their christmas deco outside siam paragon.
wasn't even light up at night yet. sad.

took this from a bridge. see the number of taxis.
and it is consider miracle that there is no congestion!

and anyway, it's kinda dangerous to cross roads in BKK.
zebra crossing is completely useless. you still have to wait till there are no cars before you cross. -.- then traffic lights...hmmm...how do i phrase it? it's just that most of the cars there totally have no patience and they dont really give a damn it's a traffic light.

SO, BRIDGES ARE THE BEST!
their bridges are wow.
can walks a long way and makes a rectangle. so no matter which way, walk by the bridge is the safest. they also have signs on the bridges to different shopping malls which is convenient.

we found this bugis look alike alley seelling nice clothes!!
fantastic. not expensive at all. and this alley leads us to more other alleys.
lol.

prettiest clinic i've ever seen!

so we spent the whole afternoon shopping and shopping.
seriously, non-stop.
and thus, no photos.
hands are full of plastic bags full of things. haha.

dinner that day was the long awaited A&W.

zillion years since i last ate this.
the curly fries...awwww~!
anybody knows why A&W didn't survive in sg?
